Crucial to the successful implementation of the program is the formation of a High School of Business™ Steering Team. This group works together to ensure the successful planning, start-up, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the program. The Steering Team will be composed of the following individuals:
High School of Business™ Steering Team
• At least two upper-level local business professionals
• At least one college-level business marketing / faculty member
• All faculty teaching High School of Business™ courses
• School Counselor(s)
• Site Administrator
• District Administrator
Steering Team’s Responsibilities:
• Implement and manage the program at the school
• Complete program assessments annually
• Commit to continuous improvement
• Ensure that the six required courses are implemented over a period of no more than three years to provide students an opportunity to finish the program prior to graduation
• Publicize the High School of Business™ program to students and parents in a timely manner to permit them to consider High School of Business™ courses as they plan their high school course of study
• Identify and report to MBAResearch new teachers as they are added or as teachers add new courses to their teaching assignments
• Pursue opportunities to form college credit agreements with local colleges and/or universities
• Mentor students as needed
